Sensor/Timed FaucetsA sensor/timed faucet is a faucet that when you press a button or wave your hand in front of it it shoots water for a while usually about 4-8 seconds

Sensor/timed faucets work by using a chip and/or a sensor. Some faucets use batteries or plug into the wall and some waste energy by staying on all day everyday. Some sensor faucets are about $150Sensor/timed faucets are important because they save water and money by not wasting water. The way they do that is by the aerator. The aerator limits the flow of water and by putting air which makes it easier to wash your hands or in the kitchen with washing dishes
our campus uses this in the bathrooms so do many other schools
